How big a job is it?

Ive brought a 2nd hand one and am looking to get one of my boys to fit it, but since they are Honda techs, they have never worked on a renault before and they have heard terrible things about these lil french cars :P

You dont ave to lift the engine up with a hoist to drop it out or anything do you???

Any help appriciated, cheers Laura 8)

no its relatively easy tbh, if its a p/s rack the only annoying bit is taking off the 2 transer pipes and the p/s pipe off the rack, then its a simple case of taking off the 2 track rod ends, the streering colums bolt and the 4 nuts holding the rack in place and it will slide out of the wheel arch area

Thanks Rich - how long roughly time wise would you say a competant mechanic with a workshop n tools could get it done in?

Probably an hour, but they'll still bill you for 3. LOL
