I hate people like that, thy come into forums and ruin perfectly good project threads. I mean this guy is trying to do up a renault 19, he will need all the help he can get, not hinderance from fools like that, good luck to him i say.

If there were more good project threads on 19's like this one the workld would be a better place.

Reliable - About as reliable as a clio :?
Unusual body styling - Thats an opinion, but they arent exactly spectacular to look at?
Speed - Um same engine, the 19 is heavier, why would it have a speed advantage?
Trusty manufacturer - They are both built by renault lol?
You can get them cheaper - Because no one wants them

Superior handling - I doubt a 19 will out handle the same spec clio
Hatch and chamade versions - wow great?
Economy - No econemy advantage over a clio if they have the same engine?
Drivability - Both fun to drive no doubt, dont see why a 19 would have the edge?
Service's are easy - Yeah ill give the 19 that.

If anything the economy would be worse, less mpg due to weight. It has more to pull.

no, iirc for ages ago on RSC it is a proper "project" ish! lol

no its Bens car, Top bloke and he's dead serious. he just loves the soud of a V6. if it doesn't fit his back up is a 1.8 Vag engine. I think Chris H is having a look at it next week.

I hope it will get finished. he knows it won't be super quick. just different :wink:
