Hey all

wel as per title...i spanked my car last night...

was on a road that bends round to the right...(tight) and there was a driveway thing that led straight on instead of goijg to the right..it was chcuking it down and so i thought the road went straight on....next thing i know im in the air...airbag in my face...and then i land..in a bush....

all passenger side damage because of a bit of kerbing left on the grass...

had one of my dads mechanics look at it today and sed the passenger side wishbone had come off....apprently looks worse than it is...

anyone spot the bit of wheel missing?

my old man maanged to get it home for me last nite before any cops showed up which is good!

gosh, looks like your wheel took the brunt of it, but must have bin a hard slap if the airbag went off.

Glad your OK, hopefully just a bent wishbone and the cosmetic damage/wheel.

ye hopefully its not that bad...need rimage !

and new steering wheel...winston is helping with that:D

When i wrote my 172 off years back only 3/4 airbags went off...

Apparantly the other one went BANG a few days later! :shock:

More the mk1s I was reffering too - I've been the unfortunate passenger of one smash and the driver of a reet humdinger - both in brand new vans - not one of the airbags went off.

Thats basically wat happened to me about a month ago, was wet, didnt see a corner and understeered in to a wall, my steel wheel was buckled to f**k where i hit the kerb and the wishbone had snapped. Mine also had a bent subframe, which luckily my new engine i am putting in has a the subframe and all the bit with it, so i wud get that checked out too. Your lucky that your airbag went off, cos mine didnt and was quite worried about that.

yes i was thinking of doing this!!

gettin 16v bonnet hopefully and the old skl lights...and probably bumper:)

It'll Polish out.

Glad no one was hurt. A mate of mine crashed his C2 last year at 40MPH into a car that was stationary and the airbag did not go off. Think I would rather not have one to be honest. The C2 was a write off too!
