Man who get rich finding one wheel, soon becomes poor buying other three.

Get that in a display case or use it as a show wheel. These new wheels wont last 5 mins on the road.
Saw a brand new set of turbines on a valver last night. (£177 plus vat from reno each) The guy had had them on 4 months and the laquer is peeling off already. Shocking quality.
Only solution i can see is to get them clear powdercoated before use.
yup, as above, but powder coat black, none of this chavvy gold nonsense!
wont be going on the car have originals wouldnt down grade lol
just got it because it was cheap wont be buying 3 more rom reno will scour the planet for some more
might put in a cabinet next to my f1 limited nose cone

Yes, you can get a powdercoat lacquer.

Problem comes with the polished rim though - as it's polished there's nothing for any top coat to 'grip' to, hence it cracks/peels/whatever, letting the water in to have a go at the metal below :?
(as I understand it anyway lol)

Not in the case of painting, dunno about powdercoating, as we used to lacquer some top yolks at work which were just bare metal, you just scotch them up first to give you a key, the scratches disappear once lacquered.
