went out in the car today, did a bit of shopping then drove back

but on the way home the car started running crap then cut out and wont start again now. i have noticed that the fuel pump isnt priming the system on second stage ignition


apart from fuel pump and relay, could there be anything else causing this?

Check that the coil is getting power also. and check power is getting to the fuse. they run off the same cable.

I had the a similar problem a couple of months ago. the electrician that came out had had a few where a plug had melted causing the problem. but in my case it was a case of a botched imobiliser wire.

The plug is located under the top dash on the passenger side, but check power to the fuse first, then whether the coil is getting power cos it may be something else.

well car was checked today and it seems that the fuel pump is knackard

One from renault is £171+VAT :shock:

anyone know of anywhere else that would stick these?

did you not just thump the tank to get it working again? much cheaper.

get pumps a lot cheaper off ebay etc
