Shell Optimax (c98RON) is about 88p a litre I think. Can you please bring us a bulk load of french petrol over for FCS? I'm sure customs won't suspect a thing if you just filled up crates of beers bottles!

So is UK one of the most expensive places in Europe to pump up?

I can still remember driving hoildays there when Thatcher was Queen (or was it PM?), it was something like a pound plus for a gallon. Prices going up in this part of the world as well, but not too bad. About 50p per litre for 98octance. But about halve that, if we pump in "Petronas" country. All in all, quite glad that the Clio is reasonably economical when not caned hard.

If I remember correct in Belgium/France (no idea where I was) fuel was 0.997 Euros per liter for diesel (75p) and 1.335 Euros ie £1 for petrol.

I'm not sure if thats the price for all petrol as I don't think 100 Ron stuf was any more though.

Everything is expensive in the UK for 2 reasons.

1. The high cost of fuel put the price of everything transported on the roads up

2. Space is in short supply, so land costs are high

To address these issues i say stop tax on fuel and shoot everyone with the surname Smith, Evans, Jones or Blair. :D

I pay between 95-97p per litre for SUL or Optimax. Dont know what the normal one costs as non of our cars really run on it, except my old shitter 5 series.
