I picked my 16v up from renault today after having the key fob re synchronised with the car. the car started and worked fine. when i got home i disconnected the battery the car will no longer lock or unlock using the key fob therefore i can not start the car as the immobiliser will not turn off. is there any way off starting the car to return it to renault or to re sync the key fob?

turn the off manually, key switch is uaually around teh glove box somewhere

there isnt a manual turn off, there is on the other clios like the 1.4 rt, but the only thing i can find that locks nething like it is under the bonnet under the cowl panal on the passenger side, but the key doesnt fit it.

i need a key re sycning for my 95 clio too, how much did renault charge you for it?

On my valver i ahve a covered one under the slam panal by the wash bottle and siren that turns the siren on/off, and another one to the left of the fusebox that turns the imobiliser on/off, somethimes this is inteh roof of the glovebox

I need to buy a key and get it programmed from renault too -

How much did they charge you?

Does anyone know if you can get a second hand PLIP key, get the key blade cut to suit - and then get it programmed from renault?? cost of this??

get one key sync'd then get your self the casio ir watch and set it to learn mode. there is also an ir plipper on the arket that can store 5 different plips ;-)

it was 41 quid it total including vat, not too pricey but a pain in the arse taking it bk to renault. i disconnected the battery because so i could sort something out with my sub and amp. i have now obtained the immobiliser code from reanault but cant enter it, does any one know how to enter it?

You cant turn your immobilser off. The key hole in the glove box is for the alarm and the key hole in the bay is for just the siren to the alarm.

The immobilser is in the ecu. Phase 1 ecu's dont have immibilsers in.
