What a day.
Set off 6.30 am as a passenger and by 9.30 I was on the track in the Willy, lol
Got a call from 2live, his willy was poorly, so I had the opportunity to take his place, so I took him up on the offer (Thanks Jon I'll get some money to you ASAP fella)
Anyway got a few laps into the day and the brakes faded as usual, anyway gave it a rest over lunch then realised I had destroyed the pads completely, down the metal, I knew they were on the way out, I hadn't changed them since donnington last time, but at 630 in the morning things like this pass you by so I agreed to take Jons place. :P
Anywho, brakes were none existant so I thought **** it and went off in search of pads, grinding and sparking as I went.
Went about 20 mins out of Oulton to Northwitch and found a KiwkFit, he got the wheels of and I had ****ed the discs too, well and truley :(
Anyway about an hour later I had fresh discs and pads at the front, bloke said take it easy for the for 200 miles, lol, he knew exactly where I was going, stripped out car, helmet on the passenger seat..hah
Funny thing was as I was leaving one of the 306 boys turned up, his exhaust was ****ed and come for a fix, if you you read this, Hello :)
Anyway, hour and half later I was bedding my brakes in at Oulton, lol
Got another couple of hours in on the new brakes and all was good.
Didn't get much chance against too many cars, much respect to the 306 lot, those gti6/rallyes are quick thou.
3rd time i've done Oulton and its a great track, not as good as Donnington in my opnion, but great all the same.
Thanks to 2live again, and Gaz, Northy etc for organising, another great day.
