Guys help me decide what Willy to get next....
Cast your vote and if you can leave your reason(s) why you think I should choose that particular model...
...think i'm about to stir a big cauldron of fire here... :twisted:

just get the beas condition one (mechanically and cosmetically) for your money, regardless of which one it is
i got/went for 1
i like the idea of having an original
iv always had old cars so age didn't bother me
if u are going to change things on it go for a 2 or 3

I'd go for a 3 I think because I prefer the 432 paint, although as mentioned the Willy 1 and 2 have no sunroof which helps, and the willy 3 has abs to keep working etc, so it depends what u want from the car. I would personally go for the best condition 2 or 3 that I can get at the time of buying.

I've currently got a 3...brakes keep failing, so i'm not too bothered about the abs but 432 is the better colour imo

Buy my Willy 2 because it's absolutely mint and completely mechanically sound :D

i went for a 3, ....yes because it has a sunroof! the weight/maintenance is irrelevant as is everything else for a fast road car with the odd track day, imo, just got the newest williams around.
2's all the way for me....
you get the phase 2 bits without the wank hole in the roof :D

i would alway go for a willy 1 or even a mk1 ph1 valver cos they are the first of renualts best cars lol plus if u want a mint willy 1 my mate has for sale just been resprayed and has mint willy wheels interior is mint the millage is about 90k and the engine is sweet plus he has lots of service i think he wants about £3500 for it

See this is where I thought I had the best of both worlds...a Willy 3 WITHOUT the Sunroof...Renault said it was made to customer specification, whether that's true or not I don't know....

Yeah I'm still driving it, arches are f'd tho.
Was thinking about re-spraying it, but I think it's time to find another one.

No sunroof is a blessing I imagine - fed up of my in car shower... lol

when i was looking for a williams wasnt too fussed wether it was a 1, 2 or 3
preferred the look of the willams 3 because of the colour , which i think is the better looking.
in the end i just went with the best one i could find.which was a williams 3 8)
things like wether i have a sunroof or not dont really bother me, i wont be tracking the car so body flex and all that wont really affect me.
if the arches and sills are still there get that one :lol:
i would go with a willy 1 or 2.
3's are gehy, but do look the best imo!
if i were to buy one, id get a 1 or 2 price dependant. only reason id do that is if i ever need a track shell. they are so cheap these days.
shame really.

I own a Williams 3. Purely on the fact its the newest and it feels more refined than other Williams 1's and 2's IMO.
I like the electrics and the sunroof does not leak...yes i've fixed it.
and i love driving it. It's there to be driven..
but
If i was thinking of owning a museum piece it would have to be the Williams 1.
After all this was the car that started the whole thing off.

look on autotrader they are still over 3k for a good one prices willl go up once people have stripped all the crap ones ..
Not up on Williams as much as you chaps but id go for the car that was in the best all round condition body and engine wise.
Wasnt the Williams 1 meant to be the 'drivers' car as 2 and 3 had all the mod cons in them?
Ive got a Williams 3 engine in mine which has just turned 67k so in that respect the engine aint as old as the others,lol

I'm swaying towards a 2 or another 3 as I don't like the phase 1 grill and strips.
Still undecided who's to go and see, Martin's looks like it could be alot of fun - worst case is I could put my own interior back in... :?: :?: :?:
Clean's 2 looks quite "clean"...or a trip upto 'brough might be an option...?

ok, how about a williams 1, race car, 3 and hybrid then ?
lol..... 1 all the way. for me.
iv had a 2...and now own 2 1s....no sunroof, no doorbars, better lookin bump strips right colour and most importantly of all.......no sunroof
newer cars arent always necessarily the better option if your thinkin of the rust factor.....like most cars..the clios seem to have a coupl eof years of poor quality metal used, or poor undersealing done, as these seem to be the worst affected clios ........and they arent the earlier ones..
