Remote locking.

Having some problems with it. Basically the key has new batteries and it only works from pretty much point blank range. I have a spare blip and key and it does the same.

Im thinking a poor connection or loose wire somewhere. But before i rip my car to bits i just wanted to see if anybody had any info on this?

Mines doing this mate,reckon they just get worse over the years,do what ive done and have a new one fitted mate

Clean the connections and sensors up in the roof panel.

It did have flood damage up there the other week. But since then i have changed the sensor and key.

Going to check the key out with a tester, and start the process of elimination :roll:

Ah yeah,forgot you mentioned the water damage,ive read this before,think youve got to replace the receiver unit in the roof

if its been invloved in a close relationship with water give it time - honestly its wierd but when its fully finished having a strop it goes back to normal - thats from my past experience in two different cars
