Rim protection for tyre changing? [Archive]

Just wondering if most places have some kind of rim protecion equipment when fiting tyres as I had my willy wheels re-furbed not long ago? Is it quite easy to damage polished lips when changing tyres? Matt

Most of the tyre fitters have nylon rollers around the edges now,just had new rims fitted and they arent damaged,these places cant afford to damage peoples wheels nowadays mate

Just go to a well respected company - They usually have upto date jobbies, I've had my willy wheels furbed twice now with freshly cut lips and all is fine
