Was going for a nice drive through some country lanes.

I Was going too quick tbh - not over the limit (nsl), but there is subsidence on the road :(

Came round a corner, saw a bit of traffic... lifted off :( ... and the back end spun round... ended up going backwards for a bit... hit the other side of the corner... bounced off the bank and then the front scraped the other bank and i stopped on the wrong side of the road :o

heres the damage :(

Looks like its just dented the sill.. not sure if this is structure. Its still all true underneath

I think i got off very lightly considering.. could've ended up so much worse!!

Is that alloy refurbable? how much d'ya reckon? £50? (new tyres too ofc)

how many thousands [sic] to sort the front wheel out? :(

lol.. i did that in the ice...on a round about.. im a bit better trained now lol..:

Brakes for slow gears for go, dont engine brake, brake in good time, and never do two things at once....

race track methods are different..#

driving fast on public roads is a totally different art to driving fast on a track...many many more hazards...worst thngs on a public road are you never know what condition the road is in ie: surface oil, potholes....boulders, bricks, inept drivers horses dogs children sheep etc etc..

Looks like a good clean escape which will be cheap to fix- i just replaced an axle and i was done :-)

not recently no :(

but im getting out of that on a technicality ;)

the lines don't terminate ;)

I was just in front of that figaro ffs :(

wrong though, i was only parking outside my house :(

So im gonna get:

a new tailgate (thanks to the 4x4)
new rear bumper (baz ;))
new front bumper
refurb the wheel
sort the subframe out
williams wide track whilst im there
and hopefully get the dent in the OS rear 3/4 panel pulled

then it'll be mint.. till someone keys it or something :(

Unlucky on your car mate, but doesnt look too bad...

At least you'll get let off that fine - as you say unterminated = lines dont mean anything 8)

i was probably doing around 60 as i entered the corner (too quick in itself) and not sure what speed when the back went out.. i must've lost a lot of speed somewhere considering how little damage i did

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&q=ex4+6ln&ie=UTF8&z=17&ll=50.759224,-3.513458&spn=0.005192,0.013561&om=1&iwloc=addr

thats where it happened, you can see its not a very tight corner too :o
I was coming from the left to the right and i spun off just before the little turning on the right (thats where i dragged myself off to afterwards to get off the main road)

Sorry to hear of the news Matty - however, sure there is damage, but could be 10x worse and you could have hit someone else.

Last summer I took a friend out in my old imprezza - pushed on a bit too fast, getting a bit too cocky, misjudged a corner - cut it too tight and blew a brand new eagle F1, and damaged my alloy + looked a right idiot in the process -

Sometimes a little humble pie can be a good thing and brings you back to earth a bit - It's quite easy to think you're a driving god, when you're maybe not (not saying you think you're a driving god, but you know what I mean) - so you pay for the repairs, learn your mistake and watch out for lift off oversteer in future

thats exactly right mate :D

Im gonna be ordering some F1s tomorrow :p hope mine don't blow out though! :o
