Found a renny 19 16v engine!

Hi lads mechanic doing my car would rather do a simple like for like swap to get it finished this week so managed to find myself a 1993 renault 19 16v engine. Been told everything is the same just got to use my inlet manifold? Is that it? Everything else ok to go straight in? Going to use my gearbox I think. Is it ok to do this? Thanks, Rob. :)

gearbox is OK, not sure about other things. I remember being told before that the alternator is different and I know the airbox is different on the Clio. If you ask over on retro-renault.com they could probably tell you as they are mostly into their 19's. If you have the engine out of the clio you will have any bits if you need to switch them over.

All the brackets for the P/S and alternator are different

The loom and thermo housing is also different

No doubt more ...but thats all i remember of the top of my head

oil level/temp sender also, brecketry for the alternator, top engine cover, just get a clio engine or be prepared to be swapping over everything

But I will be using my alternator and P/S pump if that is possible? Already bought it now so its gotta go in. lol. Hopefully shouldnt cause too many probs for fella doin it.

Parts are easily swapped between the 2 :D
