Paul16v

Gimme a shout if you want em.

Are H4 on the clios arent they? Can't remember now, sold mine a while ago.

Basically they will need the H4-2 kits with a halogen bulb for the flashers and main beam. Then the HID works on dipped.

Kits I get are quality and I can take paypal to paulmarshall5@hotmail.com
or can take cheques if people prefer.

Thats a very low price and been selling them for other cars for £130-£140 a kit.

I will need 5 + people to order though to do them for that price.
This is 8000k

http://www.lancer-evo.net/community/uploads/night2_web__small_.jpg

6000k is more white. and 4000 even whiter. 1000k is really blue and 12000k is purple! lol

Paul16v

Its possible to fit Bixenons but they are double the money as have double the kit basically. H4-2's are fine, loads better than the standard candles

any pics of the components, and how do they work?

Paul16v

wherever you can mount it really mate.

they come with a bracket, for each.

normally inner wing or inside bumper or somethin. wherever you got space really

jay s
18-10-2006, 14:04
the ballest packs weighh around 1-2kg each and are fitted in the space under the headlights, the kits come with double sided sticky tape so u can stick them down, no drilling need. u can get them for any light firment, id imagine the morretes would take a h1 fitment bulb so u only need the low beam kit.

Paul16v
18-10-2006, 14:07
yeh can get any fitment.

they have everything needed for fitting them in the kit. you ca either stick em or use the bracket things.

BristolSam16v
18-10-2006, 14:31
Bear in mind the more blue you get the less light you get out the lights, as the Kelvin number is inversely proportional to the 'brightness'.

Eg 6000K will give you the most visibility but pure white light, whereas say 10k will be blue but give you less visibility.

Paul16v
18-10-2006, 15:30
Yeh thats right. 4k and 6k is meant to be best for visibility, i think 8k and 10k looks cool tho 8)

Paul16v
19-10-2006, 16:31
Yes matey
I can get Bi Xenon but there is really no point, they are a lot more expensive as have 4 ballasts and HID is no good for flashers as it takes a second or so to ignite fully.

I have an ask around and the BiXenon kits seem to ship with only one ballast.

See pic below:

http://www.hids4u.co.uk/dbimages/page_hids4u%20kit%20009.jpg

I am interested in getting some form of HID but i really don't want to go back to the standard halogen shitty brightness for the full beam.

Also i've read that most decent BiXenon's can flash on high beam from cold with no latency (i.e. no delay). However as i havent actually seen a set in the flesh i don't know what to believe!

Who here has bought an actual Bi Xenon kit not just a H4-2??

Paul16v
19-10-2006, 22:24
Think that may be a H4-3 kit mate. they have another filament inside i believe.

i think the H4-2 uses the Xenon bulb and a seperate halogen bulb at the same time. i need to get mine fitted to see exactly how it works. the proper bi xenons do use 2 ballasts though

Paul16v
20-10-2006, 09:26
I dunno why you would need them to be honest, the low beam is a lot brighter than the normal halogen bulbs even at hi beam. The hi beams only really needed to flash and for MOT purposes, so halogen is good enough.

From my supplier the Hi/Low HID Kits are £150 cost to me! I'll see if I can get some cheaper but I can't vouch for the quality of them.

You are getting confused mate. Hi/Lo does not mean that both high and low beam will be xenon it just means that you won't lose your high beam functionality.

As Paul has said, ONLY the low beams will be HID. The high beam will be halogen (the same as the standard candle sticks fitted as OE)

Paul, regarding the 18month warranty, is it through yourself as you are the reseller or direct with the manufacturer? If so, who is the manufacturer?

Daz.
22-10-2006, 15:37
Well then its not gonna be good enough for me by the sounds of it, like I said on full candle stick beam Its not enough so normal beams just gonna get better/ as good as hi beam but I'm still down on lighting the road...

although i can contact them on peoples behalf.

the kits i can get use hi and low beam on HID's, have a magnetic movement in em to adjust the beam

1fast6
26-10-2006, 11:03
Paul, the magnetic movement is only used in Bi-Xenon kits to adjust the beam arc. Hi/Lo kits have two bulbs and therefore don't need a magnetic field to affect the arc.

I am confused because you said before that these are hi/lo with one hid and one halogen bulb, now you are saying they are hi/lo both being hid. This means they are bi-xenon and what everyone is after  . Can you please clarify what they are and post some pictures of the product.

£125 for Bi-Xenons or £125 for hi(halogen)/low(hid)

How hard are these to fit ??

do you need to cut into the relay wires? or do you unplug the current wires and just plug stright into the relay so no need to rewire

jay s
03-11-2006, 12:32
no rewiring needed, its plug and play, only thing you may need to cut is the black plastic cover that goes over the back of the light ( so you can fit the extra wires through )

summeh
03-11-2006, 22:45
Would these be affected by under or overvolting ? I'm guessing the regulators maintain 12v constant, so suppyling them with more than 12v wont give any better lighting? (i.e. good alternator and rewiring will give 14.4v to the headlights).

Paul16v

is a few other posts about with them in, they are well easy to fit, just push onto the exsisting connectors and the bulbs push in as normal, then you cable tie the wires to your old loom job done
