Well its that time and the cat's started to rattle, wont be long b4 the insides fall to bits so its time to get rid asap

Genuine catalitic converters are near £300, ive seen some chepo ones for about £160 but they look well cheap! Basically considering returning to the only "slightly illegal" de-cat scenario; however im not after a bit of drain pipe... i use to a few years back have a magnex silenced de-cat and it even passed emmissions test with that on!

Sold it northy IIRC for a pittance, however the only downside with the magnex one was that the down-pipe to flage fitting was a bit gash and i think it was even a bit small on the mounting hole centre's... more like it was designed for a 1.8 downpipe. :coffee:

Anyhoo does anyone have any pictures or recommendations of any other silenced de-cats??

Also i think i may resort to a standard zorst soon as the magnex cat-back is as loud as fook! so de-cat wont do much to help!

Cheers.

If your after decatting anyway does it really matter if its a bit of a cheapo? surely it'll work fine for 1 day a year? :D

Well idealy id rather have a proper cat just cant justify buying a shat one thats gonna fall to bits or buy a genuine one thats... erm expensive, lol. Scorpion de-cats are only 60 squid but i just dunno what to do...

I remember that silenced decat - i sold it on mate as i wasnt 100% struck. Now got a blueflame straight through on. Wouldnt change the system now im still happy everytime i get in it.

Keep your eyes open for a second hand one of a scrapped car - they do turn up. Other than that - get to renault :winkey:
