anyone here used a dial test indicator to measure their liner protrusion when rebuilding an engine with new liners??
looking for a piccy of one set up ready to measure on the engine.

its on a C1J lump....

i'd clamp it onto a stud somewhere and go from there, or use feeler gauges and a length of STRAIGHT steel bar

most come with a magnetic stand, rest it on the block put the dti on the liner then swivel it over to the deck face.
