Now the valver engine is running sweet as a nut (touch wood) but the steering it awful. I assume i need to get the rack welded which is fine but i also noticed when in the pit under the car that if the steering is moved the whole rack moves a bit, as if its not attached properly, is this a common problem? and how is it solved?
thanks
josh :)

lol the whole rack shouldn't move :S When you say awful do you mean there is a lot of play in the wheel ie you can move it alot before the wheels actually turn? If so that usually caused by wearing of the steering column rubber at the bottom and can be welded or replaced the whole thing.

Id get the loose rack checked first thou ;)

bushes which go between the rack brackets and the rack.
