View Full Version : Can you spray calipers in situ?
I didn't have time to do them before I had the brakes done you see....
Can I just take the wheels off and paint the outside of the calipers silver?
And what paint should I be using?

lol. yeah if you have a steady handd.. foliatec brake caliper laquer.. its brush on
hammerite smooth satin black si what mine got tagged with 8)
How did it finish? last time I tried hammerite with a brush I had streaks....
streaks dammit!
erm, streaky, buts its the calipers man, or u going for concourse?! :P
Hmm might gold leaf the ****ers
I did mine in bright blue, with hammerite same as Coops.
Got it all over TBH cos I'm crap at painting. but looked OK. Any drips of paint wears off the discs etc once you use them.
Not the best pic but you can sort of see em. Along with where I tipped the paint over in front of the car!! Dozy blonde. PMSL

That I would do if I wasn't so skint or if they wern't all new!
if you thin the paint down you wont get any stricks.
P.S black is the only colour for a caliper !

Oh aye oh aye? why do they come in silver as standard then?
hammerite them, but you need to clean them WELL with a wire brush and brake cleaner and then do about 5-6 coats of paint to get a proper decetrn finish, won't come off with teh heat, even after a beasting round the track all day
