Cool.

Extracted anymore power out of it?

Craig
08-10-2006, 12:25
not sure about any more power. its had a wide band lambda and remap, so the fueling is 100 x better. was running with no lambda before and a bit rough!

only prob is couldnt get any grip on the rollers so couldnt get a power run!

it NEEDS willwoods! lethal withough lol :

Glad youve got it back mate, about time too. I bet youve got a few bits to do. I always find things that need sorting when my cars been off the road!

Craig
08-10-2006, 13:34
yeh loads!

inc a few surface rust patches :(

Glad to see you in it again craig!.....along with a big grin lol.

Its running very nicely now, but some areas were hard to map and a power figure near impossible to get as the tyres on it are pretty crap and just spin on the shiny metal rollers. I was worried about some small fueling areas where we couldnt hold load due to the slip, but we sorted them on the road.

Some area required a hell of alot more fuel as i altered the cam timing a tad, particuarly circa 40-60% throttle from 3500-5000rpm. So it should feel better up there.

as long as craigs happy thats all that matters, keep an eye out on anything that doesnt feel right or isnt spot on and we can correct it.

well originally it was setup using an omex supplied narroband, and it just didnt work very nicely.

The wideband allows a more precise and constant AFR information to the driver aswell as allowing me to provide the ecu with full wideband info once i have scaled the inputs from the external device.

You dont 'need' any closed loop feedback, especially on devoted track cars, but on a road car it sure makes life alot better, and economy is miles better.

Allways loved this car, Congrats on getting it back!

One Q: On the original fuel injector location's, three are plugged and one has a pipe to it, where does it go and what does it do?

Craig
09-10-2006, 14:47
cheers :D

that pipe, its just a breather, it just goes to the bottom of the bay

LOL mapping on the road is great!!

Laptop on knee, left foot braking to hold load, reading lambda gauge, and adjusting via laptop....all whilst trying not to crash!!

A1 came in very handy when i was in London!!

nice front seats - where did u get them from ? must of missed out on them lol. Thought it had leathers originally ?

2 live
10-10-2006, 08:27
lookin good fella.

it feel any quicker?

Craig
10-10-2006, 08:30
iv had the seats 9 months in my garage.

it did originally have leathers but i sold them on. not a big fan of the leathers tbh.

it feels quick....i dunno if quicker, as its been that long since i drove it its hard to say, but it drives and runs 10 x better now its got the wideband on there. idles perfect from cold, and other than a stiff clutch and box drives like a normal valver! just a bit quicker!

iv come to work in it today, as im off the the bodyshop straight from here to get a quote, and its bloody lethal in the damp unless you drive like a very cautious granny!

northy
10-10-2006, 10:32
heehee - sounds like u need some fresh rubber mate !

Craig
10-10-2006, 10:39

iv got some other wheels with 195's on to go on like so should improve things hopefully!
