HI, i really need some help!

i have a RSI RT,1.8 8v 5door,

i let the battery run flat,. put jump leads on it now it wont start.

Thes no nosie comin from the fuel pump. or priming up.

Does the Standard Renault Alarm need resetting?

I really need to know URGENT.. or any help at all.. Thanks Shaun.

I dont really know much about alarms, but as no one has answered you as yet cos eveyone is prob busy or not in........

As far as I am aware, having a flat battery will not make your alarm need to be reset. Only unplugging the ECU may do this but it should reset on its own.

I'd try just that, unplug the ecu, lock and unlock the car and try to start again.

Sorry cant be any real help.

Renault alarms are a cunt at the best of times lol

But in these case ...I think the problem lies else where

Jump leads maybe blew a fuse?? ...clutching at straws really tho

The 'living car' needs to be running and connected to the dead one for at least 10mins before trying to turn it over.

ECUs do reset on their own after a few hours anyway too.

hiya, thanks for the replys.

I reset the ECU n battery. and still nothing

i got a current fuse tester, and theres no power to the fuse.. i think i might have to run 12v to the pump and see if it prims up or runs.

. Thanks boys.

RT is SPi, where as RSi is MPi, looking at power figueres RSi has 110 bhp, and RT has something stupid like 90ish (iirc)

no such model as a RT RSI iirc.

You most likely have a 1.8RT thats a special edition champes elleise or something. Those had rear discs.
