Best finish i have seen was done at Pristine,
Few people on here have used them.

Lepsons also did a good job on Clares apart from moisture got under the lacquer, make sure they cure them before final laq.

Sounds familliar, exactly what they did to mine... i can't say there customer services is that good either when i asked them about it there exacts words were "oxidisation which is a common issue with any polished
finish, this is something we can not guarantee against", nice considering they were only 6 months old!

I'll be getting mine done at pristine again....the ones that mat mentioned were my other set which I believe were powder coated. They did do a good job, but the colour match was not correct and they were too light. I will insist this time that they powder prime, cut and polish the lip, use the base coat that I provide them and finally laquor them. Most place have a set routine for doing these kinds of wheels and they don't like being told what to do! If you take a look at Jason's guide in the Guides section u will c what can be done, and the right results can be had. I would try and do them myself, but I just don't have the time, so I'll have to trust them again. If they don't re-furb them the way I ask....I won't be best pleased! If these places don't want to do it...then they should'nt accept the jobs in the first place.....Simple.

HOW much mate  how much
This was what Pristine charged me last time:

Refurbishment £50 per wheel x 4 = £200
Caps £3.50 each = £14.00
Refit Valves + Balance Wheels = £32
Repair F/Back = £15
Total Ex VAT = £261
Inc VAT = £306.68

Not cheap

Cheers mate :P
no not cheap but if you lot seen my wheels i wouldn't be classed worthy as to be a williams owner  . same goes for the body work but that is gonna take a bit more time. i am fitting new tyres all round after they come back so my bill should hopefully be a little less, but i'l make that up in p+p. e-mail sent to them awaiting reply.

cheers again

if ur postin em anyway....try pro-clean in prescott.

mine were £35 a rim, and an extra £12 for all 4 tyres re-fitted and balanced. colour match is prob one of the best iv seen tbh. altho iv seen sets from there since and theyv totally ballsed the colour up.

Try going to a industrial powder coating company rather than an alloy place as you may get it cheaper.

I got 4 wheels plus 4 metal centre caps back today for 160 all in.

Finish is brilliant compared to the 16v wheels i had done - these are GTT wheels and obviously have no polished rim tho

i used to powder coat, used to do me mates wheels for £50 for the lot, all they had to do was take off the tyres coz the oven got too hot for em
