Hi guys...........working on the car today, and noticed the outer coating on the wire is staring to come away.....what is it??

Looks like your on about the sparkplug lead.

That engine bay look strangely farmiliar???? lol depending what cable your refering to it could be the coolant temp sender? Brown plug sticks out the top of the thermostat housing.

the whats this with the wire insulation missing is the ht lead.

To be more specific still the HT lead for cylinder 3.

Sorry Amir, hope you dont mind, used it from the thread on cs.

I know what ht leads are lol.

I mean the one on the thermostat housing, there are two plugs, if one is the CTS what is the other???

Yeah dont worry mate! :lol: If its the one with the brown plug sticking out thr top of the thermostat housing, then its the coolant temperature SENDER. This gives you the reading in your dash to tell you what the water temperature is!

lol ok

top one is the dash temp gauge, the middle one that sticks out ot he side is the CTS and the one on the underside is for the aux water pump and it also sticks the fan on when you turn the engine off if its above 108 degrees.
