Awesome Clio 8)
Bright white shifter isn't very subtle
Now thats impressive.
what ratios ar u using buddy ? and has improved the 0 - 60 times
Have you still got a clutch pedal in the usual place ?
Total ****ing weapon.
Wish i had this kinda money to spend on my clio!

This has the std GrA ratios (if you want more details, just tell me).Do kno about times yet,as i fitted two days ago...The clutch pedal is in the usual place but converted to GrA spec (adjustable)...And is used only in 1st and reverse gear
I hope to get a video soon...
Looks pretty mint mate.... let us know what it goes like!
Also, notice your running without the cam cover.... is that just a temp measure?
Craig
1 more thing your a brave man using them kent pullies  id be changing them quickly...
Droooooooooooooooooooooooool :P
did you have to fit different drive shafts??
also does the speedo still work??
cheers Tony.

The speedo doesn't work. The driveshafts are Williams's
I'm expecting about 5sec for 0-60mph an 12,5sec for 1/4 mile not stripped.
Sex wee!!
Whats the spec on the engine? performance figures?
Quality Setup 8)
Bet thats good fun to drive.
Gets vids!!!!!!
Some 0-100 runs would be mint

We soon going to post some 1/4 mile videos and VBoxIII measurements...
awesome.
First dibs on your box should you decide you dont like it

Craig
Craig,i left it that way so i can easily change the pulleys timing...
Sex wee!!
Whats the spec on the engine? performance figures?
Engine spec.....the usual :D 14:1comp. ratio with 312 deg cams, 50mm throttle boddies,8 injectors and remapable ECU...
As concerns the kent pulleys, this is the 3rd set im using without problems
aye i remember that bit! wheres the rev limit? any idea of power/torque?
The rev limit was at 9300rpm but due to very long first gear we made it working lower than usual so now the limit is 8700 (but not for long  ).
I uploaded the dyno figures somewhere before the site broke down.It had 243hp but without the last mods
cool...what lift to the cams give? and what is the spec of the head?
the cams have 12,5mm lift. The head is ported and polished.
awesome.
First dibs on your box should you decide you dont like it
All the parts will be for sale soon as a new member has come to my familly and need to get something bigger
Absolutely awesome, 312 cams?! the idle must be fun!
Absolutely awesome, 312 cams?! the idle must be fun!
Depends how they are timed in, you can get a lumpy idle on relativly mild cams if they are timed in aggressivly, hance the lack up upper cambelt cover, so he can tweek the timing
lucky lucky man
shud be a fair bit quicker now too hehe
Absolutely awesome, 312 cams?! the idle must be fun!
When i have time and get a video you will see that my idle is MUCH better (1000rpm ct) than any other williams that has competition cams
The difference is the throttle boddies  Without them ........don't even wanna think about it
yup...the mappable ecu doesnt need MAP reference, so you dont get erratic values going to the ecu on idle. So fuelling is more stable, and idle quality improves.
is she quite "peaky" to drive?
is she quite "peaky" to drive?
What do you mean by peaky?
quality- some spec youve got there!

meaning the power and torque is biased to mainly the higher rev's. so when accelerating through the rev range, it only pulls strongly past say 5500rpm.

The car pulls strongly 5000-9000.
Ive got some problems now with fuels or something.I think that the injectors are small and need to get bigger. The mixture is gettin purer and purer as the revs goes higher and i cannot understand why. This happened after i fitted an incar fuel tank, external fuel pump and bigger fuel hoses. Before these, everything was excellent. Now i cannot understand what the hell is going on
Have you changed the fuel pressure at the rail? likely you have, if so, you need to scale the map to suit. If your software doesnt have this function, then the map itself will need tweaking.
kent pulleys.....SHIT!
rest of car and engine looks amazing tho mate!!! well impressive!
here are my kent pulleys....! cost me a lot of money and time due to this failing!! :(

Your actually havin a giraffe!
I'd rather buy a faster car!
why? thats boring!
i had a 300hp scooby, and my 200+ clio is twice as much fun! and faster, better handling, cheaper!
craig mate, is urs an hactual valver engine or is it 2.0?
thought so, just read ur profile is all n its says t/b'd clio 16 valve not willy engines t/b'd hybrid beast! :P
I liked a lot Craig's radiator ....The and car was awesome.Who has it now?Has the same spec as used to have?
thanks :)
i still have it. it was broken for months, just got it back yday!
the radiator is very good....but a bit too efficient in winter, the car runs too cool. its fine in this weather tho!
thanks :)

Meh...Yeh i know mehdi's old bus went like shit off a shovel. Shame you have to start it and let it warm up for about an hour! Or so i heard.
but a race box in a road car.....silly.
it warms up slightly slower than any other car due to a very efficient radiator. extra 5-10 mins tops not an hour. that would be a bit shit!
the sadev box is a nice bit of kit, not ideally practical on a road car, but why not? its an excellent upgrade on the stock one :)
if everyone bought faster cars the car enthusiast world would be a very boring place...

Fair point matey.
What ever happened to coilovers and brakes! ;) I've spent 1200 or so on engine work got just shy of 200Bhp...Wish i'd bought coils and 4 pots instead.

Mate i really don't know where you get your facts from! start it and let it warm an hour? more like 6-7 minutes!
Race box in a road car, it's hardly a 'road car' given the extensive work it has had. Coilovers and bigger brakes are 'race' derived. Why put them on a road car?
I was takin the piss! Clearly not going to be an hour! A nasa Shuttle doesn't even take that long.
yea, in the case of the challenger.......they get pretty warm pretty fast.

Its just the half of std as i have two coil packs running now.I have connected the one wire (of two ) only so thats the half reading.I have an external tacho but you cant see it in this foto.
nice !
can you take a picture of your pedals for me (acceraltro, brake and clutch)

why dont you bridge both coils with with 2 diodes and a zenediode?

I got a system like that from France (as i don't kno anything for these) but it didn't work.It was working properly until 3500rpm and then dropped to 0    So i send it to trash :x

What exactly do you want? They are std.Or do you want to see their attachement with their cables?

Thats good enough mate. williams 0001 has a nice special 'extention' to the accelerator pedal you see, just wondered if you had the same on yours ?

Amazing bit of work, its the ultimate go-kart! :D
BenR, do you have the wiring diagram for this?
nope, but i flog them out for a tenner and they work great.
I use them on alot of older cars which use traditional coil earth triggered tachos.
