Martin, I think you should title all your vids - Coilovers Schmoilovers.

You did pretty damn well keeping up with that Cup car through the top section of the Woodland track

hehe I guess I know why the williams is renowned as such a good handling car now after brands& cadwell and if it ain't broke don't fix it!

I keep getting urges to lower mine though...

I was impressed with how well Gaz was going and Northy's car is a real weapon....does'nt need 2.0 when it can carry such corner speed. 8)

That was on semi slicks!

Martin - Lowering with a good suspension setup is the next thing you should be spending the banks money on! :P

i know...thats why i said semi slicks AND coilovers

the williams is a great handling car as std........but not exactly to my liking.....far too much body roll for me.........even a set of stiffer springs would be a huge improvement.

lowered and coil overed n a bit more poke will be a beaut

the cup cars need the 2.0 i reckon.....yeah they can hold their own on the corners, but the straights they get eaten...imagine urs, or any other stripped to fuk willy, with the cup car susp setup.....would b a flier.

watch this space

your right would be a fecking beast....I'm still contemplating selling though...so no cup suspension for me! Only problem is I know it's gonna cost me ££££ to get another clio of this spec/speed in 6 months or a years time.

Even so he did well against that cup racer, i did a palmer track day when we got to drive all sorts of cars including jp1 jag, caterham and a mk2 cup racer and that was the most impressive of the lot (apart from the formula palmer audi) the cornering speed was just mindblowing, virtually no understeer and sequential box helps too!

I eventually have had some free time (back at uni now - hehe) to edit and upload my cadwell footage.

I took lots of shitty footage in the morning then the batteries died on the camcorder, so i didnt get any of the good battles in the afternoon.

I had to compress it quite a lot.

Hopefully martin will get Gaz's footage compiled soon as it should be good.

loud enough for the marshels to get excited with there decibel meter 8)

Think the noise is the exhaust poping !

See you have 2live driving in some of that footage !!! :gunner:

stew
05-10-2006, 12:42
Yeah its the exhaust popping like a mofo. Would do it anywhere on the over-run, even at fook all revs in first. sounded mint. :D

bit excessive on full beans, marshalls didnt like it, static sound test at lunch, passed, they couldnt do anythin but let me back out on track! muhahahahaha

its much more tame now with the extra silencer in the system. about the same as my devil system. 8)

northy - i dont get the 2live comment? :?
