blinking temp sensor

My temp sensor blinks randonly, it sort of fades in and out and looks like hal9000/kitt.

it seems to do it more when i turn left?!!?!

could i have a leak? or is the sensor playing up?

Well what does your water temp guage read?

has nothing to do with the water temp, could be a dead sensor on the mirrir or dodgy corrded termninal int he connector block at the door pillar.
