No 2- E30 M3
Carbon inlet manifold
In either E23 or E30 shell

It's an E30 with the S14 M3 engine. So I guess it's an E30 M3!

No 4 -Straight 6 BMW looks like E36 M3

Nope, it’s an E34 M5 with S38.

Though M5 was V8, unless you've cut half the pic off, but an E46 is an M3 not an M5 and they both share the same engine.

The E34 M5 used a 3.6 and 3.8 straight-six, the E39 M5 used a 4.0 litre V8.

The straight-six in the E36 M3 is 3 or 3.2 litre, and not the same as the E34 M5 lump

E36 straight 6 in E30 shells

Nope, that’s just two E34 M5s with S38 straight-sixes

Must admit the plumbing on top looks odd. I think only the race-going M1 had turbo though. Had a poster of the car when it was first out. Not very fast and a bit boring looking but it was the grand-daddy that started the whole M series craze with BMW.

Zollo is most impressive as he has mentioned engine codes.......naming cars is lame ;)

BDA is more likely to be a BDT as its output is facing forward ala RS200 and the compressor outlet is facing the roof where the intercooler on the RS200 was.

the bike engine is a 2003 GSXR-1000, and that car was previously meant to be using a kawazaki

lotus is the vaux slant 4 (s-4) with lotus head and upped to 2.2.

Why has nobody noticed that the 'turbo' 911 has trumpets and no plenum?

And not seen anybody mention the supercharger on the clio!

And yes its a 20v turbo from the later UR coupe quattro and the S2/RS2, now thats a proper 20v engine- none of this 5v per cylinder stuff here!

Oh yeah, didn't notice the five injectors!

My dad had a turbo technics XR4x4 for a while. Running about 270bhp atw when he sold it was a rapid car.
