Hi guys I better introduce myself, my names Rich & I am a Renault virgin

On a serious note I have been pottering around the forum finding out details re the Renault Williams series. :)

A close female friends brother is selling a 95M Clio Williams 2. He wants £2000 for it.

The spec :-

Standard
64,000 miles
Full service History
Road Tax for a year
MOT for a year
In good condition for the age.
Has a spot of rust on rear arch (is this common?)

The chap that presently owns it is 30 and from what I've been told has not been using it recently as he has a new company car.

I will get pictures tomorrow and post them but what are your first impressions? Is there anything major I should look out for or ask?

Thanking you in advance

Rich 8)

I love these cars they have so much presence and a feeling of something really special.

I had a 106 Gti a while back and did quite a bit of work to it in the engine and handling department, in the end it just felt so bland, no character at all especially in the interior.

I had a Nissan Pulsar GtiR after that, it was extensively modified but cost a bomb to run doing a 50 mile round trip a day.

My mates used to have a Williams 1 and a 16V and I was always in awe of them. Now its my turn 8)

It was a Diablo Red 106 gti

Spec

S/S scorpion exhaust
Pt51 kent cams
Dastek ecu
Bilstein Grp N suspension
Ecosse induction kit
GMC 4-1 manifold
Magnex Decat pipe
Stage 2 GMC head

It was a nice car, excellent handling and good performance, I should of kept it and added throttle bodies but sold it to my brother in the end.

Nothing wrong with it apart from a bland typical 106 interior thats all.

Im in Devon, Exeter to be precise :)
