missus wont have to put up with it, its now officially my track slag, got the cavalier to ferry her about in! 8)

that sound deadening stuff weighs a bloody ton n all, cudnt believe it when i stripped out the stuff under the carpet! gonna have the dash off to get the rest cuz its seriously weighty!

Awesome Coops!

It's the weirdest feeling in the world the first time the you strip the car out, from having a full interior. But it's also one of the best lol

Coops, you might want to relocate the Safety straps from the floor to the top mounts for the rear seat belts if its possible, its safer that way iirc

cheers for pos comments lads n ladies! the straps will be moved and stripping will move to defcon 2 soon, headlining and sound deadening behind dash and stuck to floor/boot still to go.

what u see is quick moc up as the car is off the road tomos and i wanted to get a feel for a quick strip before its gone for six months or so! :(

check new thread for why!!

nive pal. i had some of those and they did give me back ache, but they were good seats.

ended up swapping them for sparco ones which were a bit comfier, id recommend agetting a back support if they do the same to u mate!

looking slagtastic tho, love it!

thats were the problem lies, do u fit them to the floor which is the wrong angle, or to the back were crumple zone is? lol

i reckognise them harness's etc

Mish_16V

Although the floor is the wrong angle most proper prepped rally cars have them attached down there, or to a strut brace or similar which is still down towards the rear floor.

I had mine attached to the seatbelt points on the floor and would probably do it again as I don't feel as secure having them fitted to the higher mounts at the rear in the crumple zone. It's a toughy though...

I found having them attached to the higher point at the back, you got the weight of the harnesses on you.
And being at an angle started to give me aches, so i have put mine down to the lower position for the time being.

Coops

mounting of harness is temp atm, rear strut brace will be the proper anchor when the projects completed!

craig - ai it is a bit 'straight' on the back aint it, crap for cruising, but when ur bootin it the driving position is spot on! think i mite get that support ur on about thp, am not as young as i was! i sat in it b4 i bought it n thought, mmm bit uncomfy, but it was cheep like the budgie! 8)

richy - well now, why wud that be?! :P
