My williams 1 has got what i think is a serious problem but let me explain!
Start it up, depress clutch engage gear and release it and we have NO GO  :?: it is as sweet as going through all gears and the speedo is climbing too. But no drive what so ever to the road wheels.
What i'm prob gonna hear is a new box is req eh!
Possi diff or could it be jus the clutch has shredded on me!
Has this happened to any1 els please give me any advise :D
Thanks lads[/b]

Sounds like the diff circlip, although i thought this didnt happen in the williams boxes, only in the "weaker" valver boxes.
Must have been given some serious treatment to do it on a willy box.
95% your popped your diff circlip.
New part from renault and about an hour to fix it if you know what your doing.

yer the speedo goes up and no harsh crunchy noises so i'l be well impressed if its that lads i'm a app mechanic but dont yet have the car on my drive {buying it today jus gut myself a right bargan if its somethin small like that} been waiting for my money tree to re flower!! what do the pros call the clip than fellers so i know what to ask for when i go to replace it and will i see what and where it goes!! :?:
not sure bout the nmber yet i viewed it ages ago and ain't seen it since i think 263 but dont hold me to that! :?
OK, near enough all reno boxes are the same. Get down the scrappers and go into the gearbox she and steal a circlip and shim washer from a diff on one. Driveshaft out, back into place, all done and dusted.
I did mine 2 weeks ago, took the clip from a Scenic box. It's been given absolute death since then and no signs of failing (touch wood).
It's easy enough to do if you have a basic idea

more like touching cloth with u driving

speaking from personal experience with an angry boss
i quote from a previous thread 'once they pop they just cant stop'
