i wanna do this at some point but need to find a cheap subframe etc to use first! im gonna get mine stich welded along the seams as well!

im also NOT gonna go widetrack. ive seen to many arches ruined by running low and widetrack. i mean it works, but you need a run a lot of -ve camber to save the tyres fouling the arches! least with the valver track you can get it as low as you like. :wink:

But you dont necessarily have to go really low for a good suspension setup.
Its only one factor in the setup.
The widetrack would be alot better with a lowish ride height, rather than a slammed valver setup

colin - vts_saxo is on -25mm springs and has a the very slightest of arch damage. i suppose one way round it is 45 profile tyres! :twisted:

I wish mine didn't catch as much as it does - full locks a laugh to attempt but I can't see me ever raising it back up its stupidly hard to upset the car like that..

Think I may invest in new suspension all round though at some point - I reckon its just on springs at the front and could do with a revamp :D

I know its all about comprimise, but currently my hybrid is a tad too stiff for b roads anyway. think the lack of weight in the rear really doesnt help!

I dont wanna go too low, just wanna keep the ride height i got at the moment, but i know for a fact that i would ruin the arches.

I've completely taken the lip off the arches and at -25mm it still rubs.

Std springs are on but it feels jelly like, might whack the -25 back on and put up with the rubbing
