I went off them having seen it at FCS, but that makes me want one even more. I wish I had his drifting skillz as well. :(

Yeah, it was a bit of a disappointment in the flesh, but I reckon it'll be a great drive. From what I've read (seen now seen  ), it looks quite oversteery 8)

very slidey on the back isnt it - and look how far the clutch pedal is away from the brakes - i like it !

think PGTI should get hold of one and do a test .

Williamsclio Vs 172 cup Vs 182cup vs 197sport

It has a proper complement of pedals as well, with a lower and wider accelerator for H&T. Gutted I can't do Oulton or Brands now. :(

Looks like maybe the wider track over the mk1 and 2 allows for more controlled drifts. Or we all lack talent of course.

I read somwhere, it has gone back to torsion beam/trailing arm just like the mk1s. Whereas the mk2s have some other rear set-up. If that is right, I would think it would be a more forgiving oversteerer than the mk2s. Sort of like a fatter Williams/16V.

Although it looks gay i think the boys on top gear and 5th gear will give this a good review. Looked very stable for a fwd car being drifted lol

I'm pretty sure mk2s are also trailing arm torsion beam setup.

Need to see the set up on the 197 then. I'd have thought they'd have vertical shocks as well.

Think it was in one of the earlier articles about mk3s in general. And we all know how "accurate" motor journalists can be  Can someone take a peek under the mk3s? Would be a nice if was back to the old "shopping trolley" design though.

they did review it :D

but wasnt a good review

they raced some dude on a bike down french streets and he clipped the rear panel

Who reviewed it? That wasn't top gear. If it was 5th gear then they copied a very old Top Gear test.

Gav

maybe the series b4 that then but i know for a fact James May drove the mk3 clio and raced a kid on a mountain bike

i remember cuz i commented to my old man how it no longer resembles a clio

The mk3 clio is a bit different to the 197 though.

That's like comparing a Billy Bong to a 182. Might look the same mind. :P
