View Full Version : Radiator is leaking somewhere

Just been parked up at my mates, came out after 10 mins to a trail of water coming from the front of the car. I've smelt it and it is coolant.
However, it looks to be coming from the bottom passenger side, but I can't really see the rad, being dark and all.
How much is a new rad gonna rape me for, and how mych of a pain in the arse are they to fit?
Bleeding clio always knows when it's pay day

more likley to be a pipe/connection than rad, investigate fiorst before jumping to conclusions.
TBH sounds more like water pump than anything else

My bottom radiator hose only has to be disturbed a little bit and it starts leaking quite a lot. As Lunner says, i'd check all the pipes before buying anything..

Isn't the water pump on the cambelt side??
That was changed when the HG and cambelt were done
yeah water pump is cam belt side so wont be that, rads a piece of piss to do, remove slam panel and brackets, undo all hoses from it and it just lifts out, careful tho cuz theres 2 little rubber spacers on the bottom that tend to drop off so keep an eye out for em!

Mine went on Christmas day, no fecking suppliers open til 3 days later! Mine had leaked a little from the rad' therostat, bottom hose, then a corner corroded and it dropped the lot. The liquid collects and can run along the beam below the rad', so it can be a challenge to see where its coming from.
Yeah woops, my bad
