hi all

why do we bother with the hassles clios give us

alternator belt dissapeared yesterday on way home from work, ran out of steam 5 mile from my house

today, or this mornin going to work gearbox dies, 1st 2nd 3rd decide they werent havin any of it as i pulled away from a hill start, nearly ruined a civics front end!!!!

any way, how much should i pay for my box to be reconned?? its a 1.4 rt box??

if not a second hand one???

wot is the colour used when the gearbox is sprayed?? ie looks brand new??

tbh I wouldn't bother getting the box re-conned on a 1.4 - just get a second hand box. Not sure how much they would be but the JB1 boxes are quite strong and I think it's very rare for them to fail in the 1.4.

1.4 boxes an be had for pennies on ebay, people just can't shift them
