anybody had a turbo conversion, or knows of anybody whos had one?
1. whos the best to goto?
2. uprated conrods and pistons?
3. is it worth it?
yes i got one pm me if you want to ask any other questions. 1. used mostley bb performance parts 2. supplied low comp pistons only. but decided to run forged pistons and steel rods anyway 3. oh yes. with a few mods should be running over 400bhp this rebuild.
how u gonna get 400 horses down safe through a clio chassis! torque steer my good man and plenty of it, with a side order of wheelspin i think also!
equal length drive shafts on clio reduced torque steer and a limited slip diff and large 235 section tyres. ran ok with 320bhp so shuold be ok
i wait with baited breath, j3ned has sold his clio shell cuz the chassis just cudnt usefully put down that many horses, if you can get it to work tho its gonna be awesome! 8)
j3ned had unequall length drive shafts and problems with the angles to the hubs so i here. mines running the renault geometry with wide track better suspension and wider tyres.
oh i thought it was the actual chassis that was havin trouble, not the drivetrain or suspension! fair play! either way its gonna be a site to behold! 8)
fecking beast.....cant wait to see this thing, when u coming over fella?
waiting for the head to be returned from puma racing. having some trick new mods done. hope fully soon.

how the hell do you get equal length driveshafts with a JB/JC gearbox ?
yes had my box rebuilt and fitted a gripper lsd. the driverside has a remote output on the jb5. this makes the drive shafts equal lenghts. this is why clios dont tend to torque steer that much and the limited slip helps
what car is the jb5 from maxiboy??
craig
the megane box uses a mount that carries an intermediate shaft
