I dont think its ever been reset, does disconnecting the battery do the same thing? Will it help my boggy car>?

ECU is in the scuttle panel below the Jack in a black case, if you take your battery off over night that will reset it. But not sure bout helping your 'boggy' car. Whats up with it?

Well i serviced my car yesterday in a bid to try make it run better as its not as fast as it should be. But ive read on here a ecu reset can sometimes help the car too?

I dontv see how theer is such a thing a re-setting the ecu.
The eprom is Read only on the clio.
but it worxs ! :shock:
yeah its a strange one!
i wish wayne from chipwizards or such like could come on here and give a little background into clio ecu's.
i usually reset mine before i go 1/4miling, but i do have a so called "kill power" chip! :wink:

So should i discon the battery tonight ? You recommend it stew?
its a contreversial subject, does it make a difference or is it placebo? no body knows!
but u got nowt to lose through tryin mate so go for it! i do it from time to time n seems to make a difference! :twisted:

usually if things rectify after battery off, then it usually indicates the red potentiometer is at fault
it makes a big difference on the nana which has the so called kill power chip....I've posted the 1/4 miling figures up before 0.5/0.6 sec difference after ecu re-set
