Hi,

I'm in the process of buying an M (95) Williams 2, MOT runs out in 3 months though. Can anyone offer advice on what potential problems i should be looking for. Cambelt has been done, also had work done on the gearbox & has full service history. I've had a 19 16v & a Clio in the past & got stung, when they were reasonably new!!
Always wanted a Williams, so any help/advice will be much appreciated!!

hello and welcome

Rusty rear arches are common check bottom of doors around bottom of boot
also gearbox problems ie noises jumping out of gear crunshing in to etc
worn steering columns are common (easy fix weld it)
seems like quite a few engines tap (mine does) i dont worry
when warm oil presure about 3 + temp around 80
anything really on a 12 year old car like any other older car

good luck

Make sure the breaks work and it drives straight, sounds simple enough but mine didnt and cost me loads to make right!

No pictures as of yet, viewed it & looks well, just don't want to rush into it...... Need to start buying cars with my head, rather have a mint one & pay the money, you only end up spending loads anyway!!
