I like the look of some lightwieght 13s but dont know sizes etc. I dont know what mine are now!? Will 6 x 13s fit on my mk1 or are they too wide or not wide enough.

nah mate, smallest wheels you can get on valver brakes are 14's..

you'll need an rsi/gtt front brake setup for 13's...or jus your std 1.2/1.4 ones

With the right offset in Valver arches you will get 8" wheels in, however on standard arches you'll be pushing it without rolling them loads.
