Front strut body diameter

Anybody got a pair of struts off the car that they can measure for me. I need the diameter of the main body of the strut.

3rd Year Uni CAD Project....

Boge Clio 16v Suspension Strut - Modelled in 3D using IDEAS 10NX.

The main body of the strut is approx. 47mm diameter. I dont have any vernier calipers in the flat for measuring and no access to IDEAS package at the flat.

Cheers mate. This could be interesting then just found a company that supplies externally threaded tube so I could make my own coilovers.
