with this kind of conversion is it possible to just turbo a standard RSi lump n all? aint the engine identical but volvo rounded down on cc instead of renaults up?

lose the stickers plastered over the rest!

each to there own, its a local cruise site that i help run covering the oxfordshire area, i dont think there too over the top.

im looking into dropping a willy lump into it at some point, then get bb performance tuning to turbo it. all ££££'s tho, lol.

Gav

its just over 3.5k for the BBPT turbo conversion isnt it dood?

clio_rsi_turbo
06-06-2006, 20:24
yeah it is poss, but you have to change flywheel along with other stuff and a re-map to get it to run properly.

Andy P

If you drop in a F7R, there really is no need to turbo it mate. Trust me

Most of the lads are running mid to high 5's to 60 and low 14s with NA F7R power 8)

lol, hardly the most reliable runaround

was vey realiable, my mate used to own it before me, he maintained it regaurdless of cost, had a re-con engine in about 10k ago, thinking about it, should of kept it and put the engine it the rsi! lol nevermind too late now.

so the bb turbo kit not much that much difference then?

Coops

to get it fitted by them costs just over 5 and a half grand!

think gunnergibson off here priced up all you need from elsewhere and if you fit it yourself you can achieve the same for a little under 2 grand iirc!

Dunno, but the lad who had my car before had a play with one of them. Didnt seem to rate it much

eh? Williams head is miles better than the valver one... unless your going to have TB's, in which case the port on the vavler are better as there's more meat on the bone to reshape them.

I don't think they are too expensive, but TBH I wouldn't put one in a valver - much better and more straightforward to drop an F7R lump in there. IIRC the wiring on the 1.7 turbo is an absolute nightmare and there are issues with the exhaust and engine mounts where come custom ones might be needed.

ah rite stuff that then!!!!

clio_rsi_turbo
08-06-2006, 17:51
yep, listen to him! put a valver lump in it instead. wiring is a pig, downpipe had to be custom made along with the drivers side top engine mount.

exactly where i was comin from matey! the valver head is a better base to start from if your gonna build a monster spec engine, cuz like u said more meat on it!
