When people convert to a manual rack they fit the 1.2 clio rack.
I imagine this has more turns lock to lock than the clio 1.8 16v rack/clio williams rack/clio cup rack.

Would anybody be interested in a quick rack, I think if the numbers were enough quaife would produce a quick rack and pinion for a reasnoble price.

Anybody kow how many turns lock to lock the clio cup rack is, and is it manual?

They're not many more turns lock to lock. I had a go in a manual racked car and the feedback and turn in were spot on so I doubt theres much need for a quick rack.

Thinking of using the car for hillclimbing...

but at speed you hardly turn the wheel at all?

or for hairpins you mean?

I'd keep the PAS to make it easier at low speed....one hand wheel spinning.

There is like half a turn in lock to lock on manual compared to PAS, only time i can think that a quik rack would come in is to quickley winding on oppersite lock, even tight hairpins, such as at Anglesey you can manage without having to move your hands from teh quarter to 3 position

Even then, I bet you can wind on opposite lock quicker with power assistance.
