When I was replacing my headlamps for the new ones I got to the drivers side and decided to have a good gander at the belt while I was there....

Does this look right for an 18month old belt? Those cracks all the way through scare me I must admit!!

The reciept I have! I even spoke to the garage who did it - I don't get it at all!

Don't know what to do about it now - i'm ****ing SKINT!

What happens if that goes pop?

Great I bet the timing belts just as bad... N i g h t m a r e !

nah my timing belt were okay n the aux belt was ****ed on mine so dont worry, its not always done when the timing belt is

the belt costs about 8 quid from renault iirc, and it dont take long to fit it, only gotta remove a cupla covers and loosen a few bolts etc, 1 hour job

Hold on it might be right then as its says timing and tensioner..

Thats not one of those two is it?

nope, thats the auxillary belt!
the invoice is for the timing belt and its tensioner and idler pullies, that all under cover, u cant see it

that belt is just to run ur psp pump/water pump and alternator mate so its a cheap one, rest easy!! :wink:

I try lol - show me an engine and my eyes pop and goo comes out of my ears... now anything else - trim, lights, well not fogs thats another thread lol ****ing things!!

Can I drive it like that or best not to? I'm assuming I come to a halt if it snaps?

lol, most probably yes, it shud be fine, mine was like that for ages i guess till i changed it, but make it a high prioroty!as in as soon as u possibly just to be safe! 8)
