I have confirmed with nick hill that my starter motor is on it way out and only works when the starter motor is cool. I can get hold of a new starter motor for about £45.00 exchange from GSF and wondered where it is located in the williams and how easy is it to change yourself.

regards

James

i just done my valver one a few weeks back. its under the manifold.

took me all day to do cos i had no idea what to do apart from a few guiding phone calls from lunner lol. its no way an easy job IMO but its certainly do able. gettin all the bits back in was the hardest part i think

Make sure GSF supply a Williams starter and not a 16v!

Whats the difference between the 16V starter motor compared to the willy's starter motor and are they mounted differently as seems like there is a conflict to how easy a job it is to fit a new one. anyone?

Does anybody know what the GSF code is for the williams starter motor. can somebody confirm that they are indeed different from the 16V starter motor. Is GSF the cheapest people have found for starter motors or would euro car parts or somebody like that be better?

thanks
