View Full Version : hardnening laquor??

have finally finsihed spraying laurens wheels, 2 of them look the nakers, the other 2 also look very very good but the laquor doesnt seem to be hardening properly

the first 2 i spryaed have come out really well, the laquor is solid, but the last 2 i finifhed a few days ago dont seem to be doin all that well, its ok to touch but if u push ur thumb nail into it, it will mark it!!!

any help would be much appriciated

If they'll fit stick em in the oven at 70 degrees.

have thought about heating them up, ive got a pretty good heat gun, it i hold it pretty far away would that do the same job?

I would think the oven will be better as the heat will be more evenly spread.

tbh its probably the weather, sparaying needs a warm climate to get the best results, hence why spray booths aint cheap to set up! as suggested get them warm at a constant heat if you r not in a rush to put them on leave them near a radiator or something inside so the laquer sets slowly uner a constant heat

yeah good advice guys, ill bring em in tomorrow and wak em in the airing cupboard
