steering column i have just brought one for a tenner part number XLR553 now i aint sure if its the right one it said 91-94 manual clio so i just brought it but are 16v columns different? or have i just brought one with no power steering?

you've got powersteering and you've bought a manual column, so they are different

**** it ! i new it as soon as i clicked buy. i was thinking manual car if it would of said non power steering i would have known.

oh well only a tenner. but now i had to order renault rack at £155! sum1 just told me i could have had it welded but too late now. im just gonna tell myself new is best!

WTF.. i ordered a rack from GSF,reconjobfor £80 steering is great :-)

wot?!!! the bastards told me renault part only!!! i had a llok on gsf parts couldnt find it. i will have another look or phone them then!

im sure u can just swap the UJ,s on the end....cos i fitted a PAS rack when i done 16v conversion on a 1.4RT with a manual rack....i didnt change the rack, only the UJ's which made it the correct length.

yeah as stan says, you can swap the last piece in the column for the one out of your PAS column and it will be the right length
