Because.......

- The engine is ligher and makes the car handle more nimble than a valver

- Lots of room for a supercharger :P

- Low down Torque .....valver 1.8's really do suck lol

Clio RSi's are very underated imo .......(waits for Lunner to back me up   )

Ive got a volvo turbo b/e and cammed and polished Rsi head....too start putting a beast of an engine together....RSi lump is in there to work out space for a charger

Eaton M45 cooperS chargers go for like £50-100 and theres loads of room for it

Power wise .....not a clue.. 200BHP????would be nice...But im in no rush to build the mega engine ....should be good fun with the RSi lump .....It's only my every day drive

Oh and yes Ph3 lights ....just testing them out, nothings final lol

Cooper S chargers sound really good - love the whine they make...

Whats the rsi lump on now?

How come no-one ever charges f7's? just lack of room?

doesn't really matter sometimes though if I could get an extra 30bhp out of one for a couple of hundred quid I wouldn't complain

200BHP is a tad optomistic lol, they are only 110 std, hence why i sold mien up, becasue even wth the 2.0 BE and cammed and ported we were looking at 140ish tops, thats less than a std williams

Mate had a 400 turbo running a carbm remapped, cammed and that was only making 137bhp at a slightly higher than average boost, on teh road it was nowwt special, only pulled 2-3 car lengths to the end 3rd

use a rotrex 84 charger winston. that'll give u some good boostage

22-05-2006, 19:40
Nice one :)

What fittings would be needed for a charger? Would a corrado one not work as they are 8v arent they?

22-05-2006, 19:41
oh and Gray has an RSi sat in his garage, awaiting someone to rob stuff from it. He has an ECU

me too :D

He hasnt replied yet but will let you know.

Am i right in thinking this:

http://www.zen32679.zen.co.uk/Ima12ge1.jpg

Red - Charger Belt to the altenator and crank
Yellow - Charger itself
Green - Induction Hose to the inlet

?

Winston

I'll do a shop later :P

but the charger would seat on top of the altinator and run of the Aux belt.....charger would have it's own I/K andit would be piped up to the T/B

http://i8.ebayimg.com/02/i/07/26/99/39_1_b.JPG

Would sit that way and would need a plate/adaptor from where it normally sits on the inlet to feed it to the T/B...I had a ebay link with it already on...but it's gone lol
