Do you think I should still come with my car as it is, it still scrubs up ok just :? still waiting to get money back from previous owner( in hands of the law)

Mines absolutely mint. Not a single scratch, dent or stone chip on the whole car. I think I may even enter it as a concours vehicle.

At least we will all own our cars. Most of Cliosport will be owned by Renault. I doubt any of the V6's or 182's are owned outright.

True KS.

Lets hope Renault don't end up like Rover and call all there assets in. That would be funny.

Well, HSBC own approximately half of mine.

No they dont. Bank loans are rarely secured. You owe the bank the money, but the car is legally 100% owned by yourself.

If you went bankrupt, the bank would NOT get the car. A judge would rule you need the car to get to work, and so let you keep it. The bank has no rights to confiscate the car (deemed an essential item not a luxury by a court), and would be prosecuted by the courts if they tried to recover debt by taking it.

If the car was on finance however, the car could be reposesed by the creditors, as they secure the loan on the car and therefore in the event of missed payments, they can retrieve their assets. In effect, until you have repaid the finance, the car isnt legally 100% owned.

True KS and hence the fear of the dreaded REPO man if you miss the payments!
