Managed to source a replacement bonnet for the Willy, and ive done the measurements and I reckon that side on it will fit in the Willy's boot, but I'm not 100% sure and as it's a long way to pick go and pick it up, I was wondering if anyone else had tried to fit a 16v/Willy bonnet in the boot of their car?

Cheers all! :D

Will just about fit, might have to pull the seats forward a tad though, fits better with back seats in and parcel shelf flat

As Lunner said, it will just about fit - ive had one in mine, i took the parcel shelf out, and folded down the rear seats. Had to drive home with the drivers seat all the way forward too which made gearchanges interesting..

Thanks guys, much appreciated! Really looking forward to seeing the car looking straight again, it's taken some of the pleasure out of driving the car with dodgy bodywork...might have to see if the missus will swap the keys to the Willy for my Trophy a bit more often!

I managed to fit a boot in fine, so should be able to sqeeze a bonnet in.
Could be worth taking the rear seats out as they come out in no time for some extra room.

dare you to drive there without a bonnet and fit it there

can be a little bit of an arse if you have the seat right back like i do, but it does go in, just try and avoid heavy braking

As above iof you leave the rear seats IN, teh bonnet goes at an angle and you can have the seat pretty much right back and still fit it in

Yeah it fitted in fine, the missus drove and she sits quite far forwards so there was easily enough room. Got the bonnet off eBay and it's in really good nick, might need a spray to get a better colour match but we are well chuffed!
