i am going to have around a grand to spend on the williams very soon, i am after sqeezing more power out of it, as it is it has

pipercross filter/magnex exhaust/de-cat/stage 1 hillpower remap, so maybe around 165/170bhp?

i would like to know what on and where to spend my grand? what will see the best results guys, i am after tried and tested information please!

so what should i go for and what kind of power results should i expect to see?

cheers

i'd say,

Exhaust and Cat plus GSXR750 throttle boddies and custom made inlet manifold which is easy and a Emerald ECU

should be good for 190+ i recon

well that's what i'd do with 1K

I'd get cams and a remap and add throttle bodies later. Can't see throttle bodies adding that much on an engine with a stock head and cams.

I'd spend that on getting the body work mint, but then I'm boring.

I'd put it in the bank and leave the money pit alone :D

I'm liking the sounds of this flan, are there any disadvantages using bike tb's over normal tb's, has this been done before on a williams/any pics? and who would be able do this for me, and all for a grand?

sounds awesome

what kind of power would i be looking at with cams and a remap, along with my current mods?

bodywork is mint by the way

well i may have lied about 1k it might cost ya 1200

exhaust... £60 second hand and get a Lunner de-Cat

Emerald ECU is 500+Vat
TB's gsxr 750 £100 of e-bay or a motorbike breakers
youll need to make a loom and get a tps sensor.

manifold is easy to make, cut the inlet manifold off and get an engeneering company to weld on Tubes to the TB's

Motorbike throttle bodies are gettin used more on cars, obviously there not as good as car one, the angle at which they sit makes slow pull away a bit lumpy i think.

if you spent a bit more on cams you'd get better gains aswell.

just an idea.... or ask Chip wizzards if they can re-map the std ecu if you just bolt on motorbike tb's and use that TPS. that would be piss easy.. but remember to drop the rad!!!

I'm sure i could find an extra 200 quid from somewhere, i've already got an exhaust and decat (or do i need a differant one?)

Any idea on who would be able to carry this lot out for me? and at what extra cost are we looking at?

cheers for the info :D

Craig, (Stan's his username) would most likely be able to sort out a throttle body conversion for you. He is the guy i will be getting to do mine..

Nah its not bike TBs. They cost me £900 with engine management, without manifold, which i just bought for £145, so £1045 for everything needed to convert...

Hopefully be done and running by the end of the month.

how much for a remap and some cams, and what kind of horse power would this see with my current mods?

your best bet with 1k is cams and headwork.....

im looking at putting together a budget-friendly idividual throttle body kit (non-bike bodies) for the F7's.. all hardware (bodies, linkage, trumpets, etc etc and mapable ecu), fitting and mapping for circa £2500-2750...mainly dependent on rad set-up.

ben (angel works) uses Catcams cams...same as me. i can supply these with 10% discount on retail. i can also offer excellent rates on fitting/timing. the only thing i cant do at the minuts is the remap, but Chipwizards near manchester come highly recomended.

What kind of money would i be looking at for some cams and pulleys fitted please stan? could this be done in a day? I'm from lancashire so chip wizards is well within reach :D

would my car be pushing around 180 bhp then?
