To weld cast iron you need to heat it to about 400 degrees till its cherry red then use cast iron rods in an arc welder.

LOL, well i was just gonna make the fanifold to bolt on then sall if for about £200. could budjet for £1k and i recon you should see 180-190 if its don right. BB and K-tec use a big T25 turbo which aint needed for small power, at least this is small and spools up bloody quick, ill have to see if i can mod the flange to fit on, cheap power though aint it....

There is a company in this month's track and race car mag that have a manifold they ahve just developed to take the turbo off the 20v turbo, T0* can't remember the last number

Will stick it in the car tomorrow, not cheap....£1200

20v turbo's are

K03 (220max)
K03s (230-240 max)
and K04 ( 280max)

thats bloody expensive!! the jabbasport one for the IHI is £800 and thats what mats got good for 400-500 bhp!!! i want..lol

I've got a Garret T4 in the shed is that too big for a 1.8t? I could try making a manifold to fit onto a VAG engine if somebody gives me one to copy off. Shouldn't be too hard I made some snakey ones for my turbo V6 copied off a race car and they came out OK.

Errm a T4 is good for 500bhp apparantley probably be well laggy but go like a rocket once its on boost. I've got 2 on the V6 in my 100E but I could borrow one for a while as its not on the road at the mo.

wtf... two on a V6 what power has that got,

i wouln't stick it on a Vag in a clio... the std engine will only go to 320ish after that you need new internals. but more than 300 will be no good round the road or track. but its up to you

Errrm ~450bhp in the Cortina it was in before with 26psi of boost between them. The engine now has a steel crank and rods so should be able to chuck 50psi of boost in for about 700bhp lol.
