Hello Everyone...

Am posting from switzerland - just got my own '95 Williams and found my way here - nice forum!! :D

...

So far its a blast to drive (last car was a classic 250hp impreza).. BUT have a small problem. I classified it as the "surge/ kangaroo" problem related to the lambda sensor.

I havent taken the sensor out to see if the coil's done for, or measured it electrically, but I think the cat might be done for as well (rattles quite a bit).

As far as i know, Lambda sensors will respond like shite to a decat system - is this the experience of people here? Do i need to replace the cat? I found lots of posts about lambdas but nothing related to a decat setup.

Also, whats the actual bosch part number for the exact replacement? couldnt find that either, just that the one guy keeps insisting to buy that exact part :)

thanks again for the great forum - would look forward to some info..

cheers from alps territory...

mike

De-cat doesn't affect lamba as the lamba is before the de-cat

If teh lamba is knackered it will rattle and when cold the revs will dip to almost stalling, and then rev back up, and when you take the lamba out if its fooked it will rattle

yup, searched the forum, but came up with conflicting parts:

258003086 (gunnergibson references this wrt intermotor.co.uk) in this post:
http://www.williamsclio.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9249

258003189 (lambdasensor.com says this fits the williams)

will get a new one for sure, but dont want the wrong one... so which one is it??
